我奶奶叫我飞燕 . . . what does it mean to have a Chinese name, to exist under another name in another context. This comic is about a girl chasing her name, following always a couple states behind. Swallows were meant to fly, perhaps a name like 飞燕 (Flying Swallow) was never meant to be captured in the first place.

It was written without words so that it can be any kind of meaning that the reader might need at the moment, I hope it can offer you something valuable in this moment.
If you would like to know the version of the narrative I had in mind while creating this comic, please email me, but it is my hope you will be encouraged to create a story of your own.

Let us follow a lump of sticky rice (if you can, it might be nice to read this while cooking rice for dinner) it has been hard for this little lump to get up. Beckon as the seaweed might, this little rice ball just is just too sticky. Eventually (after some stretching) they finally are able to get up, but walking is hard when your are so sticky. Leaving a bit of themselves wherever they go. The rice ball has a tough time getting around. By the time they meet seaweed they only have the energy to lay down.
